CHEAP Royce Lighting RF47B Home Accents Wall Mount Wood and Metal Pot Rack

Before I say anything negative, this really is a beautiful pot rack. The wood is a dark cherry color, or perhaps mahogany. I’m bad with wood stains.
The metal is all heavy weight, perhaps cast iron, with copper colors streaked throughout. at first I thought it was distressed copper, but its too heavy and the copper color is a bit too muted. The end result is an absolutely beautiful rack. All hardware for mounting (including some plastic inserts to use to strengthen non-stud mounting) is included. You get 12 hooks… 6 very heavy duty hooks that fit in the front wooden track, and 6 lighter duty hooks that hook into the metal grate on top. The assembled product feels sturdy, and should hold the 30lb maximum weight the manufacturer certifies.br /br /The bad…There’s nothing really “bad” about this product. I do have a few concerns, but nothing overly negative. I think the design of the front wooden track/bevel could have been made stronger. since it supports the heaviest pans, I’m curious if it will break over time. Also the overall price is a bit expensive compared to some other racks. I will admit this is the only 36″ rack in its class (that supports amazon prime) for around . br /br /It holds weight well. I have a full tri-ply stainless steel cookware set on it, along with my enameled aluminum non-stick set. It doesn’t hold all the lids unfortunately, but that’s fine. I ordered a wall mount lid rack I’m going to mount underneath the pot rack to handle the second set of lids for the nonstick set. br /br /Mounting proved to be a little difficult, but not because of the product. The wall I wanted to hang it on was paneled, and the studs did not line up with the screw holes on the rack. Considering how thin the paneling is on this wall, I opted to run over to my hardware store and bought an inexpensive 48″x12″x1″ pine plank designed for making shelves to act as a backer. I cut the board to 38″, a nice size to fit the rack, stained it, sealed it, and mounted it to two studs with six 2 1/2″ drywall screws. I then mounted the pots and pan rack directly to the backer board. It looks nice, and its not going anywhere!
I wanted to share that in case it might help anyone else with a difficult install scenario. When I am able I’m going to snap a picture of the finished install and post it here. br /br /If you have medium to dark wood cabinets with a hint of red, this rack will compliment them easily. This may not be the cheapest rack out there, but I think it’s the most attractive. I’m giving it 5 stars despite my issue with the price, because ultimately I’d buy this again if I had to do it over.
